Yosemite: Day one
On our way into Yosemite last Saturday (after barf-Friday), Maya hopped out of the car and saw snow for the first time. As you can see, she greeted it with her usual cheery mood. She LOVED her mittens and wanted to know where they were at all times the whole trip. Maya also wore her puppy hat the whole trip, which she also wears pretty much 24 hours a day at home.
Then we walked around the valley, including walking to Yosemite Falls. Mustafa made me take a billion versions of the one with him and the kids (NO, REBECCA, Stand over THERE on the slippery ROCKS. Did you FOCUS? Are they BLURRY? Did you remember to take the COVER OFF?). Somehow, in between these helpful instructions, we enjoyed the walk, and the kids loved the waterfalls, trees, and animals.
Then we had sandwiches and played in the Indian Village behind the
Yosemite Visitor’s Center (very popular), and headed home through the
gathering snowstorm!
