Boof in Distress
Today there was a haz-mat situation in Maya’s room during naptime (which I will not go into further) that resulted in boof getting contaminated. That’s right…boof was compromised. The blogger’s spouse somehow missed this, despite obvious…evidence…and when I realized it, I told Maya that we would give boof a bath together. Maya was really worried about this, but dutifully helped me with boof’s bath. I told her that boof might need to rest without her overnight, and she basically acted like I wasn’t talking.
So, after I tried to dry boof with a hairdryer (not fun), I resorted to
the low setting of the dryer. Maya wanted to watch, so we turned the
interior light on. She was *very* focused and *very* tense. We
talked about boof the entire time. I checked on him after 10 minutes,
and Maya told me he was still wet. When we checked on him after 15
minutes (keep in mind, we’ve been watching him every single second),
Maya announced he was dry, and “no more washing machine, Maya has boof”.
Of course, boof was still damp, but hey, he smells Woolite clean now,
and Maya was absolutely delighted.
