Maya + animals = love
Maya took us to Happy Hollow in San Jose today to visit the horses and other animals. She made me pay for the animal pellets to feed the animals (of course), and there were some unfortunate incidents where the food pellets were mistaken with *other* pellets on the ground, but all in all, Maya kept it clean. Notice how Maya has her mouth wide open while feeding the animals–just in case they forget how to eat, she’s right there to remind them. She also comes prepared with large sticks in case there is some sort of petting zoo uprising.
Happy Hollow has an awesome playground, and Maya and the blogger’s spouse really had a blast. It is, of course, a child’s playground, but that didn’t stop Mustafa from both enjoying it, and refusing to leave in time for nap time.
Hana wasn’t so into Happy Hollow. First of all, she had to wear a hat.
Second, she was in the big-kid part of the double stroller, and it kind
of scared her (so mommy carried her most of the time). Third, her tummy
hurt. So we checked out the animals (toddler and horse/goat) from afar
and did far less smiling than usual.
