Maya is a big kid

Last Sunday, we spent the day at our friends’ Jill and Peter’s house, and they have a big kid swing set. Maya saw her friend Quinn playing on it, and she was like…well, Quinn is younger than me, so I should really give this a shot. She was VERY excited (perhaps powered by her seasonally inappropriate sloshees?) and spent lots and lots of time on the swings, making everyone there push her–Quinn’s parents John and Jenny (visiting from San Diego–YAY!), Quinn’s grandparents Harvey and Cindy (more YAY!), pretty much everyone got roped into Maya’s big fun time. Damian also introduced Maya to the world of bagels and cream cheese, and she was very, very excited. Hana took a HUGE nap, which made for a nice break for the blogger. I actually got to sit on the lawn, glass of wine in hand, and have more than one complete conversation with my girlfriends. BLISS. Heather commented how things have changed from a few years ago…as we looked around at the 5 kids and 2 pregnant bellies. We can’t wait for Jenny and Jill to have their babies–two little girlfriends for Maya and Hana!
