Hana + mommy + Christmas = FUN!
Hana and I spend lots of time hanging out at the house. I have installed zillions of Christmas decorations, since, as everyone knows, I *love* Christmas. Of course, we cannot have a huge tree because Maya would make it her personal mission to march in every morning and evening and wrestle it to the ground. Instead, we have two 3-foot trees in the front room on a high table (visible in the background here, behind the intense Hana cuteness), another 3-foot tree on the kitchen table, and a wreath on the outdoor patio, all with lots of white lights. Hana loves the lights, and Maya still tries to get her grubby little hands on the decorations.
This year, I bought a fancy advent calendar with pockets for each day of December, and every evening I put a little toy or treat in the pocket for the next day, and in the morning, Maya and I visit the calendar and count to the day with the toy. She is VERY into these little treats, and VERY into counting. Although six is still followed by Saturday in Maya Math.
