Maya loves spectacles

People who have spent time with Maya recently know that she is obsessed with eyeglasses. Especially mommy’s eyeglasses. She grabs at them constantly–it is one of the only things I ever have to say NO to (producing what Heather and John say is an “adorable” tantrum). Here she is after a victory–with my glasses around her neck, spaced out on Sesame Street. I am honestly considering contacts, even though I am not a fan.

We gave her an old pair of glasses to play with after this photo was taken, and she loves them. She wears them around her neck too, and I can’t figure out why–the people in her life who wear glasses (Valorie, my mom, me) don’t wear them on chains. This is clearly just a Maya-style choice.
