Maya and Quinn are mainly cooperative
Although Maya thought Elmo was the best thing about San Diego, really the best thing was that we spent most of our time with Jenny, John, and little Quinn. We all went to Seaworld on Saturday and saw Shamu, which Mustafa has been only slightly obsessed with. Quinn was totally into it, showing off his dance moves to the cheesy music, but Maya was more interested in snacks, as always. She kind of got into the whales once they really started splashing, and there were no more snacks.
Maya had a great time with Jenny’s parents, Harv and Cindy, on Friday night. She took a dip in their hot tub with Quinn (and the dads), and then both of them slept soundly while we had a complete, delicious, grown-up meal. It was the perfecto way to start off vacation. Even more amazing, the next night, after Seaworld, we took the kids back to John’s parents’ house, played in the backyard, refused to eat dinner in unison, and went to bed, and they slept through another complete adult meal. And Maya went down easily afterward at our hotel both nights. Baby magic!
