Maya is very talented

Valorie and I were talking the other day about Maya’s talents with blocks. She really is into stacking and building things and can basically make a 200 story building if she puts her mind to it. Maybe that’s a baby tall-tale, but really, she is into all sorts of blocks and stacking toys, which are infinitely less annoying than toys that play the same irritating song over and over again. Susy and I were obsessed with Legos growing up, so it isn’t that surprising to me. Oh, and I guess technically Mustafa is an engineer, so perhaps she gets some of this from her dad, but really, I think my prowess with Legos is a much more direct connection.

Maya is also quite the budding photographer. It is becoming more and more difficult to get a good shot of her when we’re home alone because she becomes totally fixated on obtaining the camera for her own evil purposes. I let her help me take the second picture, and she chose the subject (baby height). I think it is pretty good (for an amateur).
