Fingerpainting

These pictures are from last weekend, when Mustafa decided to fingerpaint with Maya! It was a huge success, and how could it not be? Naked baby + a project designed to be a huge mess + mommy not having to clean up = weekend fun for all!

I included the last baby-protest shot because that’s what we’re seeing a lot of lately. Maya is sweet as pie until you won’t give her what she wants (remote control, glasses, weapon, whatever), then she SCREAMS and cries as if you’ve tried to yank her toes off. It is super-relaxing and reassuring as a parent. Just for all of the grandparents who think she’s always perfect, let me reassure you…she was a cute little screaming mess at times this weekend. Sigh.

This weekend, Maya did get to pay an early visit to babies Molanari and Bennett, still in their mommies’ bellies in SF! And she got a HUGE laugh out of watching Rocky and Lola play for hours on Saturday…that is, before the scream-festival that was (attempted) nap-time.

I wonder if Maya is extra-cute so she can get away with more? I know that she doesn’t pull nearly this much with Valorie (thank god)…
