Maya is possibly a dolphin

As you can see, Maya’s attitude toward swimming has completely changed. I think this is mainly because this week’s classes were after naptime, and now she has a super-stylish swimsuit. She’s a regular fish now and loves the water, splashing around and kicking (with some assistance from Daddy). She was especially excited by the presence of gramma yesterday, and the presence of the Elmo puppet all three days. I guess she was happy to see me as well.

At one point, Maya kind of freaked out because Daddy put her head under water. The teacher gave her a floating hippo to play with to calm her down, doubtless sensing Maya’s love for hippos. It totally worked.
