Maya meets a horse
Yesterday we took Maya on a Christmas themed horse-drawn carriage ride through Willow Glen, a cute little district of nearby San Jose. At first, she was highly suspicious, but then she got into the whole thing, and was chattering away. She even agreed to meet the horse, who was HUGE. He weighs 2100 lbs and eats oats and hay (in case you are wondering). Maya weighs about 23 pounds at eats lots of yogurt, cheese and hummus (a new favorite), and also likes dogs. Both of them do not like sudden loud noises.
Maya seems to be enjoying the holiday season. She really likes Christmas lights and trying to pull down the small trees at our house (pictures to come). And she is a HUGE fan of the Elmo Christmas books that I found at the $1 section of Target. The stories are kind of weird, so we make up new ones based on Elmo’s general coolness every time.
We are all set for Santa’s big visit to Maya-land. I would tell you what
Santa is bringing, but a) Maya reads the blog sometimes and b) I
wouldn’t want to disappoint her with a false clue, since I could only
guess what that unpredictable Santa has up his sleeve.
