Fatima is a Superstar!

My sister-in-law Fatima is an amazing artist, and Thursday night was the opening of her solo show at the Deborah Martin Gallery in Los Angeles. Mustafa flew down to L.A. and suprised her at the opening event, and they had a great time! Sadly, Maya and I hung back in Fremont. While Maya and Fatima are best friends, I don’t think a chatty baby adds much to a stylish art gallery.

I think it is the coolest thing ever to have your name written on the wall like that, much less having a whole gallery feature only your amazing work. I love Fatima’s paintings, and since I am the all-powerful blogger, I have picked a few of my favorites (from Mustafa’s photos) to put on these posts!
