Maya takes on the world

Maya likes to hang out on my knee, taking stock of the world around her.  In the last few days, her world is much wider–mobiles with little stuffed animals fascinate her and she bats and smiles at them (especially as I make animal noises); she gazes around happily on walks outside, and she looks around at different people’s voices with intent interest.  The best is her smile in response to mine (which I never grab the camera for).  I am absolutely charmed.
