Update #1 from the hospital

I’m breaking the rules here, and blogging via my cell phone. Rebecca and I have been at the hospital for over 16 hours now, and I’m happy to report that Rebecca is doing well so far. She was experiencing significant discomfort, so her pain is now being managed. Things are moving a bit slowly, so we expect Maya to (reluctantly) emerge in the wee hours on the 4th. Rebecca is taking a nap right now, which should hopefully help her deal with with the big push (pun intended) due later tonight. I’ll try to keep you all informed.
