Labor Cake!

Well, Maya still isn’t here yet. We’re scheduled to get things moving medically on Monday night, but I’m taking any and all advice to encourage her along this weekend! My cousin Jenni suggested making the following recipe for “Labor Cake” and we are eating it right now. It worked for her, as well as several women she knows…hopefully it will work for us as well.

Labor Cake

Mix a box of Devil’s Food Cake mix according to instructions on box (any brand is fine)
Add:
1 package chocolate instant pudding
1 package chocolate chips
1 cup sour cream
And mix well.

Bake according to box instructions, but you’ll need to leave it in the oven significantly longer (almost double the time suggested on the box, for me) and test with a toothpick in the middle to see when it is done.

Even if it doesn’t induce labor, it is delicious.
