Baby update

There’s not much new to report on the Maya front…everything is fine, but she’s still happy in her little mommy pod and not showing any signs of wanting to exit. If she could only see her stylish carseat, installed by Mustafa, or her cool pack-and-play, or her awesome swing, all put together this weekend, surely she’d change her mind! I’m definitely *over* being pregnant (other than the ice cream and Mexican food) and am ready to begin the mommy portion of this adventure.

I’m betting on January 22 as a delivery date. Other than me, my whole family, including Mustafa, is on 2s. And January 22 puts her birth in an Obama world, which we now know means a soon-to-be-closed Guantanamo prison and trials in federal court for detainees, and the end of the moronic homophobic “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. A country where the rule of law actually means something again. I’m so excited our daughter is being born into a world led by this man.
