And away we go!

Rebecca and I have long discussed getting a blog up and running to share information about us. Being the techie in the family, it obviously fell to me to get this going. Being the lazy member of the family, I’ve procrastinated for months, but with 2009 finally upon us, and Maya scheduled to arrive this month, I figured it’s finally time to get off my butt and get something up and running.

So, here it is.

We hope to update this blog often. It’s primarily to make my parents and the rest of my family in Pakistan feel connected with this new baby adventure we’re about to launch into, but the rest of our family and all of our friends are welcome to use it as a resource as well. You’ll get to hear us complain about the long hours and the sleepless nights, but we’ll also share our tremendous joy at sharing our lives with our new daughter. A lot of the blog entries will be, I suspect, either photos or links to photo albums tied to something Maya did that day. I don’t know for sure, obviously; until she actually arrives, I’m not sure of how exactly our lives will change. I do know I’m looking forward to finding out.
